What happened
After a year off, MINECON returned at ExCeL London and doubled in size to 10,000 tickets. The first batch of 5,000 sold out in three minutes.
The Combat Update was the headline reveal of the weekend.
Attendees collected three things: the Java Edition cape, a skin pack for the Legacy Console Edition, and a mini-figure.
Why collectors care
The first MINECON in five figures, so supply is wider than the early years, but still a closed set tied to a single weekend in London.
A cape cannot be detached from the account that earned it. There is no trade, no gift, no transfer. The only way the 2015 cape moves is if the whole account moves with it, which is the market CNKT works in.
